Nostolgic Cartoon Characters
Nostalgic Cartoon Characters
A brief list of those cartoon characters that make us remember our childhood, in the best way possible.
Scooby Doo
Where are you?
The cartoon I miss the most is probably Scooby-Doo. As a child, I could sit and watch marathons of this show for hours upon end. What else is more fascinating to a child than a talking dog and a gang of best friends solving mysteries about the supposed paranormal. The gang was flawless with Velma as the brains, Fred as the Jonny-Bravo type character, Daphne for eye appeal, and Scooby and Shaggy as the comical relief. The favorite memory I have about this show is going to the movie theater with my best friend at the time(we were both around 6 so our parents came too) and watching the first Scooby-Doo movie, we loved every second of it. Sadly, the writers must have ran out of plot ideas, combined with new hot ideas for shows which created the downfall of Scoobs. If Scrappy was the producer, the show would probably still be on.
Rugrats
rawrrrrr I AM REPTAR
Tommy Pickles, Chuckie, Phil and Lil, and Angelica, what do all of these cartoon characters have in common? When combined, they form another one of my favorite old cartoons, Rugrats! It's amazing how the antics of a group of toddlers still in diapers could become so famous. Of course, Tommy was my favorite character. As the leader of the gang, Tommy created adventures for his friends, whether it was stealing cookies from the top of a table or preventing pirates from invading his house(the pirate(pilate) light was out obviously). Chuckie filled the recurring role of the scaredy cat in cartoons, always timid of potential dangers and wanting to go home. But Reptar, their toy dinosaur, will never be forgotten.
Angry Beavers
I doubt you even remember this duo's names, in case I was right it was Dagget and Norbert. This pair was crazy, bonkers, and out of their minds. The creators of Angry Beavers decided to use "spoot" as their censor word for curses, why I have no idea. Dagget was the younger brother of Norbert, by only 4 minutes. Nortbert, the older and calmer brother, exemplified an intellectual mind and a knack for complex engeneering on short notice, but then again, he was a beaver, what else do you expect from him.
CatDog
Alone in the world with a little CatDog
One of the most unique cartoons ever created by Nickelodeon. Did you know that the first sneak peak for CatDog was shown as a trailer in the first Rugrats Movie? Because of CatDog's uniqueness, they are shunned as wierdo's by the inhabitants of Nearburg, the main town in the show. Their neighbor, Winslow the blue mouse, is a very sarcastic character and often tries to play jokes, often cruel ones, on specifically Cat because he was the more intelligent brother. Dog was quite idiotic and lost interest in situations easily. Supposedly, CatDog is going to be released on DVD in 2011

The Flintstones
Yaba-Daba DOOOOOOOOO!
A pure classic, set in the "stone" age, hence the title. The famouse show ran with new episodes from September 30, 1960 to April 1, 1966, but has been aired on rare occasions for the nostolgic effect. It's amusing how the creators of the show made living with the Flintstones seem identical to the modern times then, with multi level house, records, and restraunts(with limited technology of course). In Bedrock wooly-mamoths, saber toother tigers, and dinosaurs existed and were used for industrial purposes.
